Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-01-01

We use cookies to operate the site, remember preferences and analyze traffic.

This Cookie Policy explains how Honseng Gifts. ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website honseng.biz (the "Site"). It describes the types of cookies we set, why we set them, and the choices you have to control them. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the personal data you provide to us.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site owners. A cookie typically stores a small amount of data, such as a unique identifier, and is sent back to the originating domain on each subsequent request, or to a third-party domain if the cookie was set by that third party. "Similar technologies" includes web beacons, pixels, local storage, and session storage that can fulfil a comparable function.

Cookies do not damage your device and do not, on their own, identify you personally. They do, however, allow the Site to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, and the data they carry may be linked to other information we hold about you where permitted by law.

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • To operate the Site — keeping your inquiry cart contents between pages, preserving your language and display preferences, and protecting forms from cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
  • To remember your consent decision — storing whether you have accepted or rejected non-essential cookies so that we do not ask you again on every page.
  • To understand how the Site is used — with your permission, measuring traffic, page views, and the routes visitors take so that we can improve content and usability.
  • To measure the effectiveness of our campaigns — with your permission, attributing visits to marketing channels so that we know which of our promotional efforts reach the right buyers.

We never use cookies to sell your personal data to third parties or to build a profile of you for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

3. The cookies we use

We divide the cookies we set into four categories. The first two are strictly necessary for the Site to function and to comply with our legal obligations; they are set as soon as you load a page and cannot be switched off in our systems. The remaining categories are optional and are only loaded after you give your consent.

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Site to be usable. Without them, features such as the inquiry cart, the contact form, and protection against automated abuse would not work. They are set automatically the first time you interact with the Site and do not require your consent under the ePrivacy Directive.

Cookie Purpose Type Storage duration Set by
PHPSESSID Holds your session identifier. The session stores your inquiry cart contents, one-time flash messages (for example, "your inquiry was sent"), and the CSRF token used to validate form submissions. No personal data is stored inside the session itself. Essential — first-party, HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax, Secure when the Site is served over HTTPS. Session cookie — deleted when you close your browser. Honseng (our server).
cookie_consent Records your cookie consent decision so that we honour it on subsequent requests. When you choose "Accept all", this is set to accepted; when you choose "Reject" it is set to rejected. The same flag is also kept in your browser's local storage as a backup for the user interface. Essential — first-party, SameSite=Lax. 180 days if you accept; 30 days if you reject. Honseng (our server, via JavaScript).

3.2 Functional cookies

The Site does not currently set any additional functional cookies beyond the strictly necessary ones above. Your preferred display language, where applicable, is carried by the session cookie and by ordinary URL parameters.

3.3 Analytics cookies

If you accept analytics cookies, the Site will load our configured analytics provider (for example, Google Analytics or a comparable service). The provider sets its own cookies to measure aggregated, anonymous statistics such as which pages are viewed most often, how long visitors stay, and the general geographic region of visitors. These cookies are owned by the provider, not by us, and the data they collect is subject to the provider's own privacy policy.

When cookie_consent is not set to accepted, the analytics snippet is never emitted to your browser at all, so the provider's cookies cannot be set.

Typical cookie Purpose Type Storage duration Set by
_ga, _ga_* Distinguish individual visitors; used to compute session count, time on site, and returning-visitor statistics. Analytics — third-party (or first-party if configured), set only after consent. Up to 2 years. Google LLC (or our configured provider).
_gid Distinguish visitors for a single day, used in conjunction with _ga. Analytics — third-party, set only after consent. 24 hours. Google LLC (or our configured provider).

The exact names and durations depend on the provider and version configured at the time of your visit; the table above reflects the most common configuration. The current list of providers can be requested from us using the contact details in Section 8.

3.4 Marketing cookies

If you accept marketing cookies, the Site may load measurement pixels from our advertising or retargeting partners (for example, the Meta Pixel). These pixels allow us to attribute inquiries to specific campaigns and to show relevant advertising to visitors who have shown an interest in our products on other platforms.

Typical cookie Purpose Type Storage duration Set by
_fbp Distinguish visitors for Facebook advertising analytics and attribution. Marketing — third-party, set only after consent. 90 days. Meta Platforms, Inc.
fr Deliver advertising to visitors who have previously visited the Site. Marketing — third-party, set only after consent. 90 days. Meta Platforms, Inc.

Where a marketing provider is a signatory to an industry self-regulatory scheme (for example, the Digital Advertising Alliance or its regional equivalents), you may opt out of that provider's use of cookies for interest-based advertising through that scheme separately from this Site.

4. Third-party cookies

The Site does not embed advertising that sets cookies without your consent. The only third-party cookies that may be set are the analytics and marketing cookies described in Sections 3.3 and 3.4, and only after you have accepted the corresponding category.

We may also embed content from third parties (such as videos or maps). When you interact with that content, the third party may set its own cookies; you should consult their respective cookie policies for details.

5. Your consent

When you first visit the Site, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You may:

  • Accept all — sets cookie_consent to accepted and loads analytics and marketing snippets on the next page load.
  • Reject — sets cookie_consent to rejected and prevents any non-essential snippet from loading. Strictly necessary cookies continue to function.
  • Customize — lets you choose individually between Necessary (always on, not selectable), Analytics, and Marketing, then saves your choices. If neither optional category is selected, your decision is stored as rejected.

Your consent is recorded for up to 180 days (30 days if you reject), after which the banner will be shown again. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the footer of any page; this reopens the banner and lets you make a new choice, which immediately takes effect after the page reloads.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers allow you to accept, block, delete, or view cookies through their settings. The exact path differs between browsers; the following links point to the official help pages of the most common browsers:

Please be aware that disabling all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will prevent the inquiry cart and contact forms from working correctly.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, in our business practices, or in applicable law. The "Last updated" date shown at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Where a change introduces a new category of non-essential cookie, we will re-request your consent through the banner before loading any such cookie.
